Volunteer Guidelines
Thank you for applying to volunteer for Freedom Family Foundation. We appreciate all of the work that the volunteers do for us and we hope to make this a fun and rewarding experience for you. These guidelines have been established to create a safe, productive, and satisfying volunteer experience for everyone.
Freedom Family is a non-profit organization. It is important to remember this at all times. Please do not mess with any of the equipment without permission and proper training. Individuals and groups should not wander around the building unsupervised. No food or drinks are allowed in the pantry. If you need to take a break to nourish yourself, please step into a designated area.
Our volunteer hours are:
Monday- Thursday: 11am - 3pm.
For special events such as weekend food drives or collaborations, the volunteer opportunities will be posted and must be signed up for one week in advance. These opportunities may be outside of the normal volunteer schedule.
Please enter through the front door and wait in the lobby. You must make an appointment at least 48 hours in advance to volunteer. Groups or families with 4-10 individuals need to call at least one week in advance for your group to volunteer. You must sign in, fill out necessary paperwork, and obtain a badge before beginning your volunteer work.
All volunteers between the ages of 12-15 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Volunteers that are 16-17 years old may volunteer alone or in a group of 3 or less with parental consent form signed.

Volunteers should wear low, sturdy, closed toe shoes, shirts with sleeves the length of t-shirts or longer, pants or jeans that come to 2 inches above the knee or lower, and a way to tie hair back if hair is below the neckline. All volunteers must wear closed toed shoes! No dirty, ragged, or torn clothing please!
